Sony confirms PS3 launch titles

Now we know what our American cousins can look forward to as the PS3 inches closer.

Sony's confirmed there'll be 21 titles to lust over from the day the PlayStation 3 lands on American shelves. That's November 17 - some four months before we'll get our hands on the console.

From basketball sim NBA 07 to eye-watering shooter Resistance: Fall of Man, there's something to please fans of almost every game genre.

War adventure Call of Duty 3 will be available from day one, as will Ridge Racer 7,- Sonic the Hedgehog and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Sony also says it'll release games through its e-distribution service from the word 'go', including Lemmings 2, online shooter Blast Factor and Go! Sudoku.

As if all those details weren't enough to rub salt into our PS3 delay-wounds, Sony says the first 500,000 consoles sold on the other side of the pond will include Blu-Ray flick Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.
