Nintendo hints at Wii communities
Nintendo's continuing to tease us with mysterious Wii trademarks, dropping clearer hints than ever at plans for a proper online community.
Following its mysterious trademarks for Wii Culture and M last month, the games giant has gone ahead and registered another 13 variants, including WiiCommunication, WiiOnline, and WWWii.
We already know the Wii will pack an Opera browser, but trademarked names like WiiClub, WiiSenior, WiiKids and WiiHealth point towards categories, perhaps as part of a closed community built especially for Wii gamers.
Of course, it's all speculation at the moment, and will more than likely remain that way until November, when we're lead to believe the console will launch .
We reckon Nintendo's planning something big though. At the very least, the Wii needs some sort of online offering to challenge Sony's plans for PS3 and PSP, and Microsoft's all powerful, and recently updated Xbox Live.
