Sanyo preps monster HDTVs

The Japanese company has 42 and 47-inch 1080p screens heading our way this spring.

Sanyo has revealed that it will shortly be unleashing a new range of HDTVs. The all-LCD range starts at includes 20, 26, 32 and 37-inch models, but the real draw are the top two - 42 and 47-inch full HD screens for viewing luscious 1080p material.

The CE42FD81 and CE47FD51 both come with digital Freeview tuners, two HDMI inputs, 1920 x 1080 resolutions and sexy black finishes. The 47-inch CE47FD51 will be launched in April while a June release date is pencilled in for the CE42FD81. Prices are yet to be confirmed, but we expect them to be in line with the likes of Samsung and LG rather than the pricier Sony and Philips sets.
