Vodafone for iPhone?
Apple loving analyst reckons he's got the inside track on the iPhone's European carrier.
Tech analyst Shaw Wu is at it again. The man who loves to hold forth on all matters Apple has announced that Vodafone is Steve Job's and co's preferred carrier for in Europe for the iPhone.
Citing the fact that Vodafone has a hefty 200 million subscribers across the continent, plus their broad coverage and investment in new technology, Wu reckons it's only a matter of time before Apple makes the call.
However, Wu failed to reveal his sources and has seemingly discounted the fact that both 3 and T Mobile are the only companies that currently supply all-in-one data packages, in the UK at least. There is always the possibility though that Vodafone will tailor a specific package for the iPhone.
Wu has previously made predictions about flash-based Macbooks and coloured iPhones, so his comments should be taken with a pinch of salt. With the iPhone not due on these shores until October at the earliest, it's likely we'll be kept waiting for a while before finding out whether we need to switch providers.
