Nissan flirts with Xbox 360

We bring you the URGE - the concept car that moonlights as a console peripheral.

Thanks to the chaps over at www.oxm.co.uk for alerting us to the URGE, a Nissan concept car with a difference. You see, this sleek roadster has a dark secret lurking inside its futuristic interior: an Xbox 360.

Okay, so that might sound like something Tim Westwood would do while yelling "Holla!" in the execrable Pimp My Ride UK, but read on: the URGE actually lets you use its steering wheel and pedals to play Project Gotham Racing 3 on a flip-down 7-inch LCD screen. What better way to unwind after a hard day of cruising the freeway (or the A23 just outside Dagenham)?

The car - which isn't likely to hit the streets anytime soon, if ever - will be officially unveiled on January 9 at the 2006 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. In the meantime feast your eyes on the gallery images below.
